What is included in a "full groom"
"Full groom" means different things at different salons. In Florida, the standard package usually includes: a bath with two shampoos, blow-dry, brush-out, ear cleaning, nail trim, sanitary trim, paw pad trim, and a haircut to your specified length or breed standard.
What's typically NOT included: teeth brushing, anal gland expression, de-shedding treatment, medicated baths, dyed accents, or specialty cuts. Those are add-ons, usually $10–$40 each.
Florida prices for a full groom in 2026: small dogs (under 25 lbs) $50–$80, medium $70–$110, large $90–$150, and giant breeds $130–$200+. Mobile groomers charge 30–50% more for the convenience but include the entire package.
What to ask before booking: How long will it take? (2–4 hours is typical.) What's included for that price? Is there a senior or medical-needs discount? Do you charge extra for severely matted coats?
For first-time visits, send recent photos to the groomer ahead of time. They can flag any pre-existing issues — matting, growths, sensitive areas — and quote accurately.
